Karoline Werner is a new recruit of the Children of the Island. Prior to her current role, Karoline wasn’t sure what she wanted to do. At her parents’ guidance, she picked a STEM major, believing that it would lead to job security and a guaranteed steady income. Though she was proficient, she wasn’t very passionate.
A year after she entered the workforce, she began to have dreams of an island where a mysterious person offered her a more meaningful life than what she had. Over the course of several dreams, she spoke with this person, culminating in Isabel Salvador escorting her to the island and getting transformed.
Karoline is able to hack devices with her mind. Her ability, combined with her experience in the tech industry, allows her to manipulate devices in novel ways, a power that is strengthened the closer she physically is to a device.
She is calm and dedicated to her work, happy to be useful to the island where there are no electronics. In her free time, it’s not unusual to see her daydreaming and staring at the sky.
